Privacy Policy
Water CheatCode (the "Service") is operated by Aquonyx LLC ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use watercheatcode.com and the member portal at go.watercheatcode.com.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you give us and information created as you use the Service:
- Account details — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form).
- Signup survey answers — the optional information you provide about your experience, what you sell, your volume, lead sources, and what you want to learn.
- Usage & activity — courses you enroll in, lessons and videos you complete, XP, badges, referrals, and a security/activity log that records events such as sign-ins, sign-outs, agreement acceptances, and purchases, along with the IP address and timestamp for those events.
- Purchases — records of what you bought and when. Card and payment details are entered directly with our payment processor (Stripe) and are never seen or stored by us.
- Content you submit — for example, a video testimonial you choose to upload.
2. How we use it
- To create and secure your account, deliver the courses and features, and provide support.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To send transactional email (welcome, email confirmation, receipts, password resets, and account notices).
- To operate the referral/affiliate program and calculate any rewards.
- To improve the free course and the Service using aggregated survey and usage insights.
- To keep records we are legally or commercially required to keep — including agreement acceptances and payment history — for tax, dispute, and chargeback purposes.
3. Service providers we share with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with vendors that help us run the Service, and only as needed:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — sending transactional email.
- Cloudflare — bot protection and file storage (R2).
- Render — application and database hosting.
- Our CRM / automation tools — to manage member communications where you have engaged with us.
- Google Analytics 4 — on the public marketing pages only, never inside the member portal. It sets cookies and sends anonymised usage data (your IP address is truncated) to Google so we can see which pages are read. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies from google-analytics.com.
- Vimeo and YouTube — course and testimonial videos play through their embedded players, which set their own cookies and receive your IP address when a video loads.
These providers are bound by their own agreements to protect your information and use it only to provide their services to us.
Win reports and the systems challenge. When you report a win you may upload photographs of installed equipment showing its serial number, plus an install date and system count. These are used only to verify the report — including checking serial numbers against Aquonyx manufacturing and shipment records — and are visible only to Water CheatCode staff. They are never shown to other members or used in marketing; only the win title and amount are, and only when you have ticked the consent box.
4. Cookies & local storage
We keep you signed in with secure, HttpOnly session cookies (they are not readable by scripts in your browser) and use your browser's local storage only for lightweight preferences such as your light/dark theme. We do not use third-party advertising cookies within the member portal. Embedded videos (Vimeo, YouTube) set their own cookies when you play them, and Google Analytics sets its cookies on the public marketing pages as described above.
5. Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. When you request deletion, we deactivate your account immediately and remove personal data that we are not required to retain. Some records — such as agreement acceptances and payment/transaction history — are retained for the period required by law and for legitimate business needs (tax, accounting, and dispute resolution).
6. Your rights & choices
From Settings inside the portal you can:
- Download your data — a machine-readable export of the information we hold about you.
- Delete your account — this deactivates you immediately and queues erasure of personal data, subject to the retention exceptions above.
- Update your name, leaderboard display choice, and time zone; change your password; and sign out of all devices.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, or objection). To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below.
7. Security
We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, signed and expiring links for media, role-based access controls, rate limiting and account-lockout protections, and a Content-Security-Policy to defend against code injection. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any issue.
8. Children
The Service is intended for adults running or building a business. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate we will notify you.
